Southern Minnesotans: Help Keep the Benefits of Rural Solar Local!

Join the Faribault or Mankato-area Cooperative Solar Garden

Do you or someone you know live in the county of WASECA, DODGE, RICE, DAKOTA, SCOTT, LE SUEUR, BLUE EARTH, FREEBORN, MOWER, STEELE, or GOODHUE?  The solar boom has added panels to rural communities across the state - but 90% of those are owned by utilities or out-of-state corporate developers. Community Power has joined up with Cooperative Energy Futures to get truly accessible solar energy to rural Minnesotans where the profits stay in the community. Renters, homeowners, and mom & pop shops can sign up and receive to one of 3 gardens (depending on where in Southern MN you live) and get electric bill savings. The cooperative is committed to access - there is no upfront investment and no credit check. Just fill out a few forms, join the cooperative for $25, and you're in!

Sign up on the main Join: Cooperative Solar Garden page  and check the "SOUTHERN MN" box to get started.
